Babolat Pure Drive 107 Tennis Racquet (Used)

Rating 6 out of 10. It has just a few scratches on the racquet with most of the scratches being on the bumper guard.   It is strung with an Babolat RPM Blast/Gamma Live Wire hybrid at 58/61lbs. The best selling racquet in the U.S. has gotten even better! Babolat has taken their best racquet and has added the GT System (Graphite Tungsten) which adds a hybrid of braided carbon fibers and tungsten filaments throughout the entire racquet. Tungsten strengthens the frame to reduce torque for greater precision (Babolat claims 26% more precision compared to the previous Pure Drive). Babolat continues to utilize the Cortex vibration filter at the top of the handle. Cortex cancels only the highest two vibration frequencies and allows the frequencies that enhance feel pass through to the player. The Pure Drive GT 107 is now more like a traditional players racquet in the sense that it's light, stiff, and fairly powerful. Babolat has kept the specifications on the new Pure Drive GT 107 virtually the same as the previous generation Pure Drive Team 107 and Pure Drive Cortex 107. Although many consider the Pure Drive to be a player’s racquet, it is ideal for intermediate to advanced players that are looking for the perfect combination of power and control. This racquet uses Babolat’s Woofer technology for increased contact between the ball and strings, larger sweetspot and increase control and spin. Ideally suited for players with moderate to full strokes. Recommended for the 3.0+ NTRP level players. GT Technology: Graphite Tungsten Technology is a hybrid material containing braided carbon fibers and tungsten filaments throughout the entire racquet. This customized performance booster improves racquet performance based on the concentration of Tungsten fibers at various strategic parts of the frame. The main benefit is increased power and versatility. A value added aspect of GT technology is that the added concentration of Tungsten in the head of the racquet strengthens the frame (up to 26% more than the previous Pure Drive) to reduce torque and increase precision. Woofer Technology: Woofer is the first dynamic technology which makes the frame and the strings interact when striking the ball. Woofer delivers 10% more power than conventional racquets, and ensures that the strings retain their energy longer. It enlarges the sweetspot area for every racquet size. With this new technology, the two parts of the racquet are linked by an interface in CDS (Cortex Dampening System) material. This technology allows the filtering of the different vibratory modes.
