As the official sponsor of the Roland Garros tournament, Babolat has released a limited edition version of the best selling racquet in the U.S.!  This racquet plays exactly the same as the blue/white version, but has the clay colored graphics on the outside in honor of the grand slam tournament played on the dirt. Babolat has taken their best racquet and has added the Graphite System which adds a hybrid of braided carbon fibers and filaments throughout the entire racquet. The filaments strengthen the frame to reduce torque for greater precision (Babolat claims 26% more precision compared to the previous Pure Drive). Babolat continues to utilize the Cortex vibration filter at the top of the handle. Cortex cancels only the highest two vibration frequencies and allows the frequencies that enhance feel pass through to the player. Although many consider the Pure Drive to be a player’s racquet, it is ideal for intermediate to advanced players that are looking for the perfect combination of power and control. This racquet uses Babolat’s Woofer technology for increased contact between the ball and strings, larger sweetspot and increase control and spin. Ideally suited for players with moderate to full strokes. Recommended for the 3.0+ NTRP level players.
