Babolat has taken their best racquet and has added the Graphite System  which adds a hybrid of braided carbon fibers and filaments throughout the entire racquet. The filament strengthens the frame to reduce torque for greater precision (Babolat claims 26% more precision compared to the previous Pure Drive). Babolat continues to utilize the Cortex vibration filter at the top of the handle. Cortex cancels only the highest two vibration frequencies and allows the frequencies that enhance feel pass through to the player. The Pure Drive 107 is now more like a traditional players racquet in the sense that it's light, stiff, and fairly powerful. Babolat has kept the specifications on the new Pure Drive 107 virtually the same as the previous generation Pure Drive Team 107 and Pure Drive Cortex 107. Although many consider the Pure Drive to be a player’s racquet, it is ideal for intermediate to advanced players that are looking for the perfect combination of power and control.
